According to Epson, the cost of the printer may be higher initially, but in the long term, it will be much more economical compared to traditional printers. This is due to the use of ink tanks instead of cartridges in the Epson ET-2650. Epson claims that with full tanks, you can print up to 4,500 pages in black and 7,500 pages in colour. The cost per monochrome sheet is only £0.008 in the UK and £0.0048 per colour sheet. These figures are quite impressive and on par with the large office printers. However, it is important to note that a significant amount of ink will be consumed during the printer initialization process, which will require the separate purchase of the first set of inks.
